Benjamin Satterley, the professional wrestler known globally as Pac, has died at the age of 40. All Elite Wrestling confirmed his passing on Sunday. Satterley, a native of Newcastle upon Tyne, England, began his wrestling career in 2004, eventually performing for promotions around the world.
For many wrestling fans, Pac was a central figure, particularly within AEW. He was a key member of the faction Death Triangle alongside the Lucha Brothers, Penta El Zero Miedo and Rey Fenix. The trio held the AEW World Trios Championship for 126 days, winning the then-vacant titles from the Best Friends and losing them to The Elite.
Pac was also known for his intense and often adversarial feuds. One of his most memorable rivalries was with Orange Cassidy, a dynamic that played on Cassidy's seemingly indifferent demeanor against Pac's perpetual seriousness and aggression. Their matches were frequently highlighted for their high quality and compelling storytelling.
Beyond his prominent tag team and rivalry matches, Pac competed against a range of top talent, including Kazuchika Okada, Will Ospreay, and Swerve Strickland. He also had notable storylines, such as when Malakai Black sprayed him with mist, leading to Pac wrestling blindfolded in his subsequent match before removing the blindfold and retaliating.
Pac's final match took place this past Saturday against Andrade El Idolo. Tributes from fellow wrestlers and industry figures have poured in, remembering not only his in-ring prowess but also his character and contributions to professional wrestling. Many have shared personal anecdotes highlighting his personality outside of his wrestling persona, often describing him as a good friend and a significant influence.
His career spanned numerous years and international promotions, establishing him as a recognizable and respected performer in the professional wrestling landscape.
