Project Motor Racing's GT Icons Pack Adds Nine Historic Cars and Rocky Knoll Raceway

Straight4 Studios has released a new downloadable content pack for its 2025 racing simulator, Project Motor Racing. The GT Icons Pack introduces nine historic cars and a new track, continuing the studio's efforts to enhance the game since its launch.

The add-on features three cars from each of three different eras of GT and sports car racing. The GT 60 era includes the 1965 Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport, the 1964 Shelby Daytona Coupe, and the 1965 Jaguar E-Type Lightweight. Representing the Sports Car 67 period are the 1967 Chapparal 2F, the 1967 Ford Mk.IV, and the 1967 Lola T70 Mk 3. The GT 70 era is represented by the 1974 Porsche 911 Carrera RSR 3.0, the 1973 Chevrolet Corvette C3, and the 1973 Ford Capri RS3100.

Accompanying the new vehicles is "Rocky Knoll Raceway," a circuit designed by Straight4 Studios that draws inspiration from the real-world Road America. This new track adds a fresh environment for players to experience the game's updated physics.

The GT Icons Pack marks the first DLC release since the arrival of sim racing veteran Aristotelis Vasilakos, who joined Straight4 Studios as chief creative officer in late May. Vasilakos previously served as head of vehicle handling for Assetto Corsa: Competizione and contributed to the handling and physics of the original Assetto Corsa.

Project Motor Racing has undergone significant development since its initial launch in November 2025. A major update released in March aimed to improve the simulator's foundational elements, striving to align it more closely with the standards of serious motorsport titles.
