PlayStation has unveiled the lineup of monthly free games for PlayStation Plus subscribers for September 2026. The selection includes the critically acclaimed retro-inspired RPG Chained Echoes, the chaotic physics sandbox Wobbly Life, MLB The Show 26, and Sniper Elite: Resistance.

These titles will be available to add to subscribers' libraries starting September 1 and can be played as long as the PS Plus subscription remains active. Subscribers have until October 5 to claim these games before they are replaced by the next wave of monthly offerings.

Chained Echoes is highlighted as a standout, described as one of the best old-school pixel art turn-based RPGs available. It features a unique combat system, an expansive world, and striking visuals, following a group of mercenaries caught in a conspiracy involving a powerful crystal and impending war. While some encounters may become repetitive and the pacing occasionally falters, the game is recognized for its strong SNES-style retro RPG qualities.

Wobbly Life offers a different experience as an online multiplayer chaos simulator. Players can engage in jobs, minigames, and story missions within a physics-driven sandbox designed for emergent, humorous gameplay. Previously described as "GTA for kids," the game has been praised for its quality across various activities, providing a fun and engaging experience, particularly for younger players. It offers a compelling alternative for children seeking online multiplayer entertainment.

Subscribers are also reminded to claim June's free games, including Dying Light 2 Stay Human: Reloaded Edition, Big Walk, and Signalis, before August 31.

The inclusion of Chained Echoes offers a deep, narrative-driven experience, while Wobbly Life provides a lighter, more chaotic multiplayer adventure. Both games cater to distinct player preferences, adding significant value to the PlayStation Plus subscription for September.
