Psychological Horror Game Jiaohun Announced, Set in 1999 China

IGN's Fall Fan Fest has unveiled a new trailer for Jiaohun, a first-person psychological horror game from developer 12AM Blackout. The game is set in 1999 China, in a fictional location known as Fairy Town in Baishoi County. Players will explore abandoned buildings and confront demons, uncover secrets, and face a nameless god.

Jiaohun draws inspiration from Chinese folktales and delves into themes of obsession through its puzzle and exploration mechanics. The game features unsettling imagery, including masked figures and hands with eyes, alongside peculiar artifacts like 1990s-style pagers.

The title is slated for release on PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam in 2027. A Steam wishlist option is currently available.
