Gamescom Opening Night Live played host to the surprise announcement of PUBG: DED.NET, a new multiplayer first-person shooter that injects roguelite chaos into the familiar PUBG universe. Publisher Krafton described the upcoming title as a blend of shooter gameplay and run-based progression, encouraging players to experiment and adapt their strategies within the unpredictable setting of 1990s Cascadia.

The game's chaotic energy is underscored by its soundtrack, featuring the 1990s hit "Jesus Built My Hotrod" by Ministry. Krafton has opened registration for a closed beta test for PUBG: DED.NET on the game's official website, offering players a chance to experience the novel gameplay mechanics.

This is not the only new title on the horizon for the PUBG franchise. The previously announced PUBG: Black Budget is also in development, though a release date has not yet been set. Interested players can currently sign up for a playtest, with successful applicants receiving an email for access.
