Quintet's acclaimed 1995 action role-playing game Terranigma, a title long absent from official North American release, is set to arrive on modern consoles and PC in early 2027. This marks the first time the game will be officially available in the region, having previously only seen releases in Japan and PAL territories on the Super Nintendo.

Terranigma, the third installment in Quintet's unofficial "Soul Blazer trilogy," follows the journey of a boy named Ark tasked with revitalizing Earth after a catastrophic divine conflict. The game has garnered praise for its narrative, musical score, and dynamic gameplay. Developer Clear River Games is overseeing the port, promising "a host of upgrades, tweaks and bonus features" aimed at modernizing the experience while retaining its core appeal.

Original artist Kamui Fujiwara has been involved in the re-release, contributing new character designs and key art, and providing feedback on the production. Fujiwara expressed his delight at the game's return, stating his hope that the themes of creation and destruction, humanity and divinity, will resonate with contemporary players.

The enhanced version of Terranigma is slated for release in early 2027 across a wide range of platforms including PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Switch 2, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC.
