Ubisoft has announced Rainbow Six Tactics, an upcoming single-player turn-based tactics game that will feature familiar operators from Rainbow Six Siege. The title was revealed during Gamescom's Opening Night Live showcase and is slated for release in 2027 for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. This marks the first single-player installment in the Rainbow Six franchise since 2008's Rainbow Six Vegas 2.

Players will step into the role of Paul "Six" Bishop, the protagonist from Rainbow Six Vegas, who will command a roster of 15 fan-favorite Operators from Siege, including Sledge and Ash. The game will include 47 handcrafted maps and approximately 90 minutes of cutscenes to support its narrative, which is set during the period between the 10th and 11th years of Siege's timeline. Development is being handled by Ubisoft Paris, known for the Mario + Rabbids series and recent Ghost Recon titles.

Ubisoft confirmed that Rainbow Six Tactics will not feature an in-game store or any form of monetization. The game will incorporate a breach planning feature, reminiscent of the original Rainbow Six on PC from 1998, allowing players to strategize and execute synchronized assaults with their chosen Operators. The title is expected to retail for $49.99.
