Razer has unveiled three new gaming headsets inspired by popular Pokémon characters, coinciding with the franchise's ongoing 30th anniversary celebrations. The new collection features designs based on Sylveon, Charizard, and Lucario, applied to two of Razer's established headset models: the Kraken V4 and the Blackshark V3 X Hyperspeed. These headsets are currently available for purchase directly from Razer and at Target.
The Razer Kraken V4 receives a Sylveon Edition, characterized by pastel colors and an image of Sylveon on the headband, with soft blue accents on the earcups. Razer describes this design as "coquette-style." The wired headset includes a retractable microphone, 7.1 surround sound, and customizable RGB lighting with Razer Chroma. The Sylveon Edition Kraken V4 is priced at $79.99, the same as the base model.
Meanwhile, the Razer Blackshark V3 X Hyperspeed is launching in two Pokémon-themed variants: Charizard and Lucario. This model is positioned as a higher-end option, tuned for esports. It is lighter than the Kraken V4, weighing 270g compared to the Kraken's 300g. The headset offers a low-latency wireless connection via 2.4GHz HyperSpeed technology and boasts up to 70 hours of battery life. The Charizard edition features a color scheme of black and red flames with orange trim, while the Lucario model sports vibrant blue earcups with ink-like illustrations. These wireless models are priced at $99.99.
Target is offering these new Razer Pokémon headsets at a higher price point compared to Razer's direct sales. The Sylveon Edition Kraken V4 is listed at $109.99 at Target, while the Charizard and Lucario Blackshark V3 X Hyperspeed models are available for $139.99 each.
Razer has a history of collaborating with Pokémon on gaming peripherals. Previous releases include a general Pokémon accessories line and a widely popular Gengar-themed headset. This latest collaboration continues the partnership between the two brands.
