The cult horror series Remothered is set to return with Red Nun's Legacy, developer Stormind Games announced today. The upcoming title features contributions from Silent Hill composer Akira Yamaoka and Maggie Robertson, the voice actor behind Resident Evil Village's Lady Dimitrescu. The new trailer for Red Nun's Legacy, which debuted during the Horror Game Awards, showcases the game's Sicilian setting, complete with weathered stone buildings and marble fountains.
Stormind Games, which is based in Sicily, aims to recreate the island's decaying beauty in the game. "The Sicily that Stormind Games recreated in Remothered: Red Nun's Legacy is the Sicily the team has always lived, seen, breathed," a press statement explained. "This trailer is a visual journey through the real places, textures, colors, and cultural details that shaped the world of Red Nun's Legacy, stemming directly from the memories of those who developed it."
The addition of Yamaoka, known for his atmospheric scores in the Silent Hill series, and Robertson, whose performance as Lady Dimitrescu garnered significant attention, is expected to elevate the Remothered experience. "With these artists' help, I think Remothered: Red Nun's Legacy could become a true classic--no 'cult' necessary," the announcement suggested.
Remothered: Red Nun's Legacy is slated for release on PC and consoles on October 27, with a Nintendo Switch 2 version following on December 3.
