Robert Pattinson is reportedly among the actors who screen-tested for the next James Bond film, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The outlet states Pattinson tested for the role during the week of October 24.
Amazon, which now owns the rights to the franchise, has not commented on the reports. Pattinson has built a notable post-Twilight filmography, starring in critically acclaimed films such as The Lighthouse and The Batman, and has recently worked with director Denis Villeneuve, who is reportedly attached to direct the next Bond film, on Dune: Part 3.
Pattinson is not the only actor who has reportedly tested for the role. The Hollywood Reporter also mentioned Nicholas Hoult, Callum Turner, Jack Lowden, and Josh O'Connor as contenders. While some insiders have suggested Turner may have already been cast, these new reports indicate the search may still be ongoing. A formal casting announcement is expected once Villeneuve concludes his work on Dune: Part 3.
