Sony has unveiled a new, officially licensed Grand Theft Auto VI-themed DualSense controller for the PlayStation 5. The announcement was made during a recent State of Play presentation.
The controller boasts a design with glossy purple accents and palm tree etchings, evoking the aesthetic of Vice City. The touchpad prominently displays a large "VI" emblem, also adorned with palm tree graphics. The rear of the controller features the Grand Theft Auto logo. Available in both black and white colorways, the limited-edition controllers are now open for pre-order and are slated to launch on November 19, 2026, coinciding with the release of Grand Theft Auto VI. Pre-orders can be placed directly through Sony's platforms or major retail partners.
Described as capturing the "style and luxury of Vice City," the controller is expected to be a sought-after item for fans. The release notes for Grand Theft Auto VI suggest that the game will reintroduce L3 sprinting, a feature that could lead to significant wear on controllers. The game is also set to leverage special DualSense functionalities, including haptic feedback and adaptive triggers, further enhancing the in-game experience. While there has been no official announcement regarding a Grand Theft Auto VI-branded PS5 console, speculation suggests it may be a possibility in the future.
