Secret Marvel Mobile Game 'Project Comet' Trailer Leaks Online

A trailer for a rumored Marvel mobile game codenamed “Project Comet” has seemingly leaked online, offering a glimpse at potential gameplay and character roster. The video, originally posted on Bilibili before appearing on YouTube, showcases characters such as Scarlet Witch, Wolverine, Spider-Man, and Doctor Strange engaging in combat. The art style bears a resemblance to that of Marvel Rivals.

The game appears to be an action RPG featuring real-time combat and cooldowns, similar to titles like Genshin Impact. The leak also suggests Project Comet will be a gacha game, where players collect Marvel characters using in-game currency. It is expected to be released on Android and iOS.

While the trailer's visuals seem plausible, the audio exhibits desynchronization and an awkward voice-over, indicating it may be an early build. However, the leak aligns with previous reports. A four-month-old recruitment post for beta testers of Project Comet was noted by X user Miller Ross.

Previous leaks from X user MultiverSusie alleged a roster including Captain America, Elektra, War Machine, Invisible Woman, Wolverine, Spider-Man, Doctor Strange, Juggernaut, Doc Ock, Quicksilver, Beast, and Thor. Reporter Sarge also highlighted a Scopely job posting that described Project Comet as a free-to-play, open-world adventure title with crossplay functionality between PC and mobile platforms.

Project Comet is reportedly being developed by Scopely, a company partially funded by Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF). Scopely acquired Pokémon Go developer Niantic in 2025 for $3.5 billion. The PIF has significantly increased its investment in the gaming sector, acquiring stakes in various companies as part of a broader strategy to enhance Saudi Arabia's global image.
