Developers NetEase and Marvel Games have acknowledged the ongoing discussion surrounding Storm's Legendary skins. In August, following the debut of the "Sacred Skies" swimsuit skin, which was initially classified as Epic, the Marvel Rivals Twitter account announced plans to upgrade it to Legendary status for free. This decision was a direct response to player feedback, with the developers stating their commitment to fostering a positive community.
The upgrade for the "Sacred Skies" skin is reportedly still in development. However, speculation is mounting regarding another potential Legendary skin for Storm, possibly a collaboration with "Marvel Tokon Fighting Souls." Leaked character silhouettes suggest a crossover with the fighting game, drawing parallels to poses seen in that title featuring Storm and Iron Man. This would not be the first time a Marvel game has collaborated with Fighting Souls; Marvel's Wolverine previously received crossover skins.
Storm is not the only female character in Marvel Rivals with a limited number of Legendary skins; Jubilee, Black Widow, and Angela also have only one each.
