Publishing platform indie.io is set to showcase six games at upcoming events gamescom and PAX West, offering attendees hands-on opportunities. For those unable to attend, free demos for all six titles are currently available on Steam. This curated selection spans a variety of genres, including a cozy vineyard builder and a challenging turn-based roguelite RPG.

Monser Park Tycoon, developed by OverPowered Team, places players in the role of a park manager whose facility serves as a front for a cult. The gameplay involves luring and capturing visitors using disguised traps. Captured guests can then be fed to monsters, indoctrinated into the cult, or sacrificed for Faith to gain favors from a Dark Lord. The game requires players to manage monster diets, exhibit conditions, and unpredictable behaviors, all while balancing park expansion with cult growth in a darkly humorous management simulation. This newly released demo is the first opportunity for external players to experience the game.

Dunebound Tactics is a roguelite that features tactical turn-based combat. Players lead a band of survivors across a harsh desert in search of a new home, managing limited resources and a fragile ship. Resources are gathered through quests, defeating enemies, or by sacrificing crew members. As a roguelite, failure is a core mechanic, but each playthrough contributes to the next. Wreckage from previous runs can be salvaged for upgrades or even surviving crew members. The game offers 15 crew classes, each with unique traits, skills, and abilities. Combat occurs on a destructible grid, allowing players to alter the terrain to their advantage. The demo has been updated based on player feedback since its appearance at Steam Next Fest.

A significant shift in tone comes with We Took That Trip from developer Lucito Loquito. This is described as a calm and relaxing road trip game with no timers or objectives, focusing on a journey with a cat in a van and interactions with new people. It features three modes: Story, which presents a narrative of friendship, loss, and reunion; Zen, for a relaxed, goal-free experience; and Background, an AFK mode for enjoying the visuals and soundtrack. Each trip is procedurally generated, and players can customize their van's interior and exterior.

Cozy Builder, a sandbox building sim by Pangea Game Studios, invites players to restore Vineyard Valley. Using modular architectural pieces, players construct a château, harvest grapes and herbs, and create wines to share or sell. The game offers extensive customization options for the château's interior and exterior, including gardens and greenhouses. It supports both solo play and multiplayer co-op. The demo has received ongoing updates, including features like one-click item movement and full key rebinding.

Mayday: The Survival Island is an open-world survival crafting game from Pequi Studios. Players awaken alone on an island after a mysterious crash and must gather resources, craft tools, hunt, fish, grow crops, and build a homestead to survive. The game takes place across an archipelago of 24 islands, each with unique environments and challenges. Players can progress at their own pace, focusing on base building or survival. The narrative centers on the island's mysteries, featuring strange symbols and fragments of a lost civilization. A free demo is available on Steam.

Esports Manager 2026, developed by Neurona Games, is the only title on the list that has already received a full release, but a demo is still available. This management simulation game puts players in charge of an esports organization, from scouting players and signing staff to managing contracts and leading teams in tournaments. Players can either manage an existing organization or create their own. Tournament gameplay occurs in a Simulation Mode where tactics are controlled in real-time. A recent update introduced a revamped loan system, reworked simulation maps, and the ability for retiring players to become coaches. The game launched in July and achieved over 10,000 concurrent players. A 25% discount is available until September 8.
