Sniper Dan Turns Hidden Object Gameplay into Wholesome Fun

The unconventional hidden object game "Sniper Dan" reimagines the act of sniping as a force for good, developed by Denki, the studio behind "Autonauts." The game merges hidden object mechanics with first-person shooting, creating a unique symbiotic relationship between the two genres.

Players step into the role of Dan, a skilled marksman equipped with a hunting rifle and an entrepreneurial drive to solve community problems through projectile-based actions. Each mission presents a 3D, animated environment reminiscent of a "wimmelbilderbuch," populated with numerous characters, animals, and objects that may require Dan's unique assistance. The gameplay loop is straightforward: identify a problem, shoot the problem, and resolve it. The challenges are often lighthearted, ranging from clearing leaves in a park to shooting a lock off a jammed suitcase or planting seeds by firing them into the ground and watering the soil with a carefully aimed shot.

Unlike traditional sniping simulators, "Sniper Dan" does not focus on realistic ballistics like bullet drop or wind direction. Successful problem-solving is rewarded with comical animations and in-game currency. This currency can be used to upgrade Dan's rifle or to purchase cosmetic items for his office, including amusing instances where Dan selects market items by shooting them.

"Sniper Dan" is currently available on Steam with a 20% launch discount, bringing the price to $10.39 (£8.79). This introductory offer concludes on October 1.
