Ryu Ga Gotoku Studios has unveiled a new story trailer for its upcoming quasi-prequel, Stranger Than Heaven, highlighting protagonist Makoto Daito's arrival in Japan and his unexpected tutelage in rap from Snoop Dogg's character, Orpheus. The trailer, titled "Act 1: Kokura Story Trailer," details Makoto's initial journey to Japan.

His first destination is Kokura, Fukuoka Prefecture, in 1915. The game's narrative spans 50 years and multiple decades, taking Makoto through various locations including Kure, Minami, Atami, and finally Shinjuku.
Stranger Than Heaven is set to launch on January 15 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. Previous coverage from the studio has also included discussions on the inclusion of rapper Tupac and a hands-on preview of the game.
