Michal Shafrir, a developer known for the April Fools' visual novel "The Murder of Sonic the Hedgehog," has once again impressed with a Halloween costume inspired by the Sonic franchise. Following a previous creation where she embodied an entire level from "Sonic Adventure 2," Shafrir has now brought the Pumpkin Hill stage to life as a wearable, interactive costume.

This year's design focuses on Pumpkin Hill, a notable treasure-hunting segment from "Sonic Adventure 2" that features Knuckles the Echidna. The costume meticulously recreates the level's distinctive spooky aesthetic, with jack-o'-lantern shoulder pads framing a corset adorned with the stage's signature orange and purple sky. The skirt is designed to resemble the platforms Knuckles navigates while searching for pieces of the Master Emerald.

Beyond the visual fidelity, the costume incorporates interactive elements. A necklace designed to look like the in-game radar, used by players to locate the Master Emerald shards, is worn by Shafrir. When a Knuckles figure, perched on her shoulder, is moved across the costume's platforms, the radar indicates proximity to a hidden Master Emerald, adding a playable dimension to the ensemble. This intricate creation was developed over several months, culminating in its reveal just in time for Halloween.
