Epic Games has revealed the complete lineup of eight skins set to feature in Fortnite's upcoming Chapter 7 Season 4, subtitled 'Override'. The new season, launching on August 20, will include a long-rumored collaboration with Sega's iconic mascot, Sonic the Hedgehog, who will be the final unlockable skin in the Battle Pass.

The Battle Pass trailer, created by animation studio Studio 64 Bits, depicts Jonesy traveling through various video game worlds to recruit allies to fight against Geno. The trailer culminates in a character selection screen showcasing both classic Fortnite characters like Peely and Raven, alongside the new additions for Chapter 7 Season 4. These new skins are Bastian, Grace Crowne, K1TTYW1NS, Wrixel, Mali, Phantom, Geno, and Sonic.

Based on their appearance order in the trailer, players will likely unlock these skins sequentially, with Sonic requiring players to reach Level 100. Several skins, including Bastian and K1TTYW1NS, bear a strong resemblance to characters from Nintendo franchises, such as Link from The Legend of Zelda and a racer from Mario Kart. This inclusion hints at a retro gaming theme for the season, though a direct collaboration with Nintendo for their characters in Fortnite has yet to materialize, despite fan hopes.

A new mechanic called 'Lobby Hacks' will also be introduced, allowing players to input codes for in-match advantages. These codes are often tied to featured video game franchises. A recent post by Nintendo of America on X, which included a Lobby Hack related to Fortnite Override, fueled speculation about a potential Nintendo and Fortnite collaboration, though many interpret it as a season tease.

While many elements of Chapter 7 Season 4 have been revealed, including its themes and collaborations, further details regarding new Sprites, map locations, and other gameplay mechanics are expected to surface upon the season's launch.
