A number of first-party PlayStation games have been unexpectedly delisted from the PlayStation Store in various regions, leading to speculation about the cause. Titles such as Knack 2, Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection, and God of War III: Remastered are currently unavailable for direct purchase on the North American PlayStation Store.
While users who previously purchased these games can still access and download them from their libraries, new customers are unable to find them through search functions. Reports suggest that the removal might be linked to a pricing error, with God of War III: Remastered in particular appearing on the Mexican PlayStation Store for approximately 50 cents.
Sony has been contacted for clarification on the situation. If this is indeed a temporary technical issue, it may be resolved soon. However, the delistings coincide with Sony's ongoing transition toward an all-digital future for its game releases, with a stated aim to cease physical disc releases by 2028. This move serves as a stark reminder of the potential impermanence of digital ownership, as companies retain the ability to remove content from their storefronts.
