The complete series of the iconic anime Speed Racer is set to receive a Collector's Edition Blu-ray release on August 25, with preorders now open at various retailers. Amazon is currently offering the set at a discounted price of $65.99, a reduction from its original retail price of $79.98.
This Collector's Edition includes all episodes of the original series spread across 10 Blu-ray discs, housed within a colorful case. According to Amazon's product page, the set also features every episode of the original Japanese broadcast, Mach GoGoGo. Given the tendency for such physical media releases to sell out quickly, interested fans are advised to place their orders promptly. Some retailers, like Walmart, have already sold out of their initial stock.
August and the coming months are seeing a surge in physical media releases. For those looking to stay updated on upcoming 4K and Blu-ray drops, a comprehensive rundown is available. Additionally, for collectors seeking deals on older titles, Gruv is hosting a "3 for $33" sale on 4K movies throughout August, featuring a diverse selection of films.
