A recently released TV spot for Spider-Man: Brand New Day showcases Tom Holland's iteration of the web-slinger utilizing organic webbing for the first time. The footage offers a detailed look at Peter Parker's wrists as they produce the sticky substance, even noting the change occurs as he discusses his mutating DNA with Bruce Banner.

"Organic webs," Parker is heard saying in the clip. "Peter 2 had them, you're cool." This line is a clear reference to Tobey Maguire's portrayal of Spider-Man, who utilized organic webbing in his films and interacted with Holland's character in Spider-Man: No Way Home. The film's trailers have previously established that Peter, alongside Maguire's and Andrew Garfield's Spider-Men, were identified as Peter 1, Peter 2, and Peter 3.

The new footage also teases the character's initial struggle to adapt to his newfound ability, showing him misjudging a leap and crashing through a water tower and a wedding celebration. However, the trailer concludes with a sequence where Peter demonstrates mastery over his webbing, trapping members of the ninja clan The Hand in a dense web.

With the film's release date approaching on July 31, its promotional campaign has intensified. Recent efforts include a World Cup-themed commercial featuring Lionel Messi and a full trailer confirming the Hulk's appearance and further hinting at Sadie Sink's role, potentially as an MCU version of Jean Grey.

Tom Holland has also been active in promoting the film, though not without difficulty in avoiding spoilers. He inadvertently revealed that one character retained knowledge of Peter Parker's identity despite Doctor Strange's spell. When questioned about his involvement in future Avengers films like Doomsday or Secret Wars, Holland offered a non-committal response that strongly suggested his participation.
