Nintendo has released a new patch for Splatoon Raiders, version 1.1.1, which brings a highly requested change to tank controls, alongside several bug fixes. The update addresses player feedback regarding the method for releasing a tank's limiter, a feature that some found unintuitive.

Previously, players needed to hold down the A button to release a tank's limiter. This has now been changed so that a simple press of the A button is sufficient, making the control scheme more accessible. This adjustment is the most significant player-requested change implemented in this update.

Beyond the control tweak, patch 1.1.1 resolves a number of gameplay issues. An intended feature to hide certain UI elements, such as the Showstopper Gauge in the Hideout Ship or dungeons, was not functioning correctly and has now been fixed. Additionally, the Emergency Damage Up effect was not properly applied to explosion damage from the Splatchet's Explosive Steps, an issue that has been corrected. Players experiencing movement problems after performing a wall-based Squid Roll followed immediately by a Splatchet use will also find that this has been resolved.

Specific environmental and enemy-related bugs have also been addressed. On Soyu Cliffs, a Fish Stick that would occasionally become stuck in the terrain and become undefeatable has been fixed. In the Arcade Cabinet game HOPPING, an issue where the Exploration Bot would sometimes fail to hit Salmonids has been resolved. The patch also corrects a rare crash that could occur if the Nintendo Switch 2 touchscreen was tapped after launching the game in an area with swirling fog.

Splatoon Raiders launched on July 23, with an initial patch, v1.1.0, released on July 22 that focused on audio and gameplay adjustments. This latest update, v1.1.1, demonstrates Nintendo's ongoing commitment to refining the player experience based on both internal testing and community feedback.
