A newly discovered Easter egg in the loading screen of Splatoon Raiders has the potential to crash the game if players interact with it too vigorously. The bug was detailed by players shortly after the game's launch.

When Splatoon Raiders begins to load, players are presented with a top-down view of swirling gray clouds. While this appears normal in docked mode, players using the Nintendo Switch in handheld mode can touch the screen to manipulate the clouds. This interactive feature, while seemingly minor, can lead to a game crash if the player touches the screen extensively.

One player demonstrated the effect by placing their entire hand on the screen, resulting in the game freezing or closing. However, this glitch is confined to the initial loading screen and does not appear to cause lasting damage to the game itself. Players can easily restart the application after encountering the crash.

The discovery raises questions about whether other hidden touch-screen interactions exist within Splatoon Raiders, a game that primarily emphasizes motion controls for gameplay. The developers recommend utilizing the game's motion controls for aiming, available through either the controller or handheld mode, as the most effective way to play.
