Splitgate Developer Reveals New FPS Empulse, Heavily Inspired by Titanfall 2

1047 Games, the studio behind the popular arena shooter Splitgate, has unveiled its next project: Empulse. This new multiplayer first-person shooter, revealed at Summer Game Fest 2026, draws significant inspiration from the acclaimed Titanfall 2.

Players in Empulse will engage in fast-paced combat, vying for control of pilotable mechs. The gameplay incorporates a suite of movement mechanics reminiscent of Titanfall 2, including grapple hooks and wall-running. Additionally, the game features P.A.I.N.T. grenades that dynamically alter the battlefield with visual effects. Empulse is set to launch on Steam via Early Access on June 24, with a price point of $19.99. Prior to its early access debut, players will have an opportunity to try Empulse during Steam Next Fest, which begins on June 15, 2026.
