Square Enix will present new information on Kingdom Hearts 4 at this month's Tokyo Game Show, the company confirmed. This follows an extended look at the highly anticipated title and a late 2027 release window announcement at this year's D23 fan expo, where an anime series adaptation was also revealed. While an official schedule for Square Enix's Tokyo Game Show participation has not yet been released, the company is expected to stream developer panels and interviews. It is likely that more details about Kingdom Hearts 4, potentially including a release date or new gameplay footage, will be shared during these presentations.
Joining Kingdom Hearts 4 at the event will be Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth. Following its release date announcement during the recent State of Play presentation, the game will feature a playable demo on the show floor. Square Enix has indicated that attendees will be able to "play through a section" of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, though the duration and specific story segment of the demo remain unspecified.
Additionally, Final Fantasy XIV will be featured, with Square Enix preparing for the release of the MMO's Evercold expansion next year. Further details, including the expansion's second new job and potentially its release date, are anticipated at the Tokyo Fan Fest scheduled for late October. To celebrate the upcoming Final Fantasy 7 raid series within the MMO, attendees at Tokyo Game Show can also obtain a special collaboration bag.
