Stalker 2 Update 2.1 Details Leaked Early by PlayStation Asia

Details for an upcoming update to Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl, version 2.1, have seemingly been leaked ahead of schedule. A graphic titled "The Zone Lookout," which was posted to PlayStation Asia's Twitter account, has revealed potential new features and improvements.

While the post indicated the update was "out now," it appears to have been published early, with the update actually slated for release next week. The graphic highlights several key additions, including an increased A-Life NPC visualization range and related adjustments to combat and ballistics. Players can also expect the ability to fast travel with squad leaders, alongside various bug fixes and general improvements.

This follows update 2.0, which launched on August 20 alongside the "Cost of Hope" expansion. That previous update introduced features such as binoculars, a fog mechanic, further A-Life changes, and a substantial amount of new content.

Earlier this year, GSC Game World founder Sergiy Grygorovych alleged that Microsoft paid a considerable sum to secure timed exclusivity for the open-world shooter on Xbox platforms.
