Lucasfilm and Marvel Comics have announced Star Wars: Ahsoka – Escape From Thrawn, a new five-issue miniseries set to bridge the gap between seasons of the live-action Disney+ series. The comic is slated for release on January 20, 2027, the same day as the second season of the show is scheduled to debut.
The series features a story by Dave Filoni, executive producer and creator of the Ahsoka series. Rodney Barnes is writing the comic, with art by Andrea Di Vito and cover art by Phil Noto. The first issue's cover art highlights the focus on Eman Esfandi's character, Ezra Bridger.
Following his escape from Peridea at the end of Ahsoka Season 1 by stowing away on Grand Admiral Thrawn's ship, the Chimera, Ezra Bridger finds himself back in the familiar galaxy. The new series will detail his efforts to evade Thrawn and his forces as he attempts to return to the New Republic.
