A new crafting book is coming to the world of Stardew Valley. The Official Stardew Valley Crochet Book, scheduled for release on January 26, 2027, will feature 45 projects with new illustrations and tips from in-game characters. This follows the success of The Official Stardew Valley Cookbook, also from the same publisher.
The book will include patterns for various Stardew Valley elements, such as Junimos, Slimes, and the Lucky Purple Shorts. Ryan Novak, a collaborator on the previous cookbook, is returning for this project, with crochet designs by Megan Lapp. The patterns will largely focus on amigurumi, a style of crochet that creates small, three-dimensional figures, fitting for the game's creatures and collectibles.
Variations will be present in the patterns, including different colors for Void Eggs and multiple styles for Junimos. Other announced projects include patterns for the Galaxy Sword, Mermaid Pendant, and the aforementioned Lucky Purple Shorts. These finished crochet items can serve as decorative pieces or gifts.
Both hardcover and eBook editions of The Official Stardew Valley Crochet Book are available for preorder. While Amazon lists both at $32, the eBook price is closer to $13.99. Barnes & Noble is offering a preorder discount on the hardcover edition, bringing its price down to $29.
Stardew Valley continues to receive new content, with the 1.7 update planned for later this year. The game recently received a 10/10 review score following the release of its 1.6 update.
