A substantial leak originating from Valve's Steam platform has made achievements for a wide array of games publicly accessible, including those for titles that have not yet been officially announced or detailed. The breach, which affected the achievement tracking website Exophase, has exposed spoiler-filled lists for prominent games such as Persona 6 and Kingdom Hearts 4, alongside achievements for several unannounced titles.

For Kingdom Hearts 4, the leaked achievements hint at the inclusion of unannounced worlds within the game's structure. Similarly, the Persona 6 achievements provide potential insights into the game's plot points. Persona 6 was officially announced during the Xbox Games Showcase in June, with a teaser trailer released at the event. It is confirmed to be a day-one release on Xbox Game Pass and will be available on Xbox Series X and S, PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam. The official description for Persona 6 highlights its continuation of the series' signature blend of daily life simulation and supernatural adventure, promising a new story and cast of characters for both long-time fans and newcomers.

Regarding Kingdom Hearts 4, Square Enix has so far only confirmed one world, Coco. In the past month, co-director Tai Yasue and series creator Tetsuya Nomura reiterated that the game is "100% a thing" and is not expected to be delayed beyond its late 2027 launch window.

The operator of Exophase, who goes by the username x3sphere, suggested that the leak was likely a misstep on Valve's part. "Seems like a possible screw up on Valve's end, a bunch of games with achievements that should be private are accessible through the API right now and that's why they got scanned into the site," x3sphere stated on ResetEra. They further noted that games without official names typically do not appear with achievements, but a significant number of such entries surfaced recently.

Beyond the major role-playing titles, the leak also exposed achievements for several other unannounced games. These include a potential Steam release for Capcom's Nintendo 3DS title, Professor Layton vs. Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney, an unannounced game from Nickelodeon, a Telltale Games The Walking Dead Collection, and an unannounced Tetris game. Further details on these and other affected titles have been compiled by Gematsu.
