Steam's Train Fest sale is currently underway, featuring discounts on a wide array of locomotive-themed games, including recent releases like Denshattack and Fogpiercer. However, the main draw of the event for many enthusiasts is the significant price reduction on Train Simulator Classic and its extensive downloadable content library.

The base game, Train Simulator Classic, is available at an 80% discount, bringing its price down to $6. The game is known for its substantial collection of 790 DLC packs, nearly all of which are now on sale, with discounts ranging from 20% to 80%.

Calculating the total cost of all available DLC proved to be a complex task, as Steam's interface and even third-party extensions limit the ability to add all 790 items to a cart at once. Through manual data compilation and calculation, it has been determined that purchasing every piece of DLC at full price would typically cost approximately $15,621.11. During the Train Fest sale, the cumulative cost of this extensive add-on content is reduced to around $6,933.80, representing a saving of roughly 55%.

Beyond Train Simulator Classic, other train-related titles are also featured in the sale. The recently released train survival game EverRail is offered at a 10% discount, while the strategy game Fogpiercer, also launched this month, is available for 25% off.
