Rockstar Games has remained tight-lipped about the voice cast for Grand Theft Auto 6, but actor Stephen Root has confirmed his participation in the upcoming game. Root, known for his roles in "King of the Hill," "Get Out," and "Barry," revealed his involvement in an interview with AP News.

Internet speculation about the GTA 6 cast has been rampant since the game's initial trailer, with fans piecing together clues. Root stated that his involvement was inadvertently revealed earlier due to his distinctive voice being recognized from "King of the Hill." He also shared that his understanding of the release date is November 19th.

While Root did not specify which character he is voicing, he is widely believed by fans to be portraying Brian Heder. Rockstar's official website describes Brian as a "classic drug runner from the golden age of smuggling" who continues to operate his boat yard with his wife, Lori. Players can see Brian and Lori in the extended look at GTA 6, alongside protagonists Lucia and Jason.

"I am so happy to be involved with it. It's an amazing thing to look at," Root commented on his role in the game. Further details about his character and the game are expected as GTA 6's release approaches. Rockstar has previously confirmed that the game will not feature generative AI or microtransactions, and currently targets 30 FPS, with a potential 60 FPS option still under consideration.
