Stranger Things Chapter 2 lands in Dead by Daylight with Eleven, Dustin, and Vecna

Stranger Things returns to Dead by Daylight with Chapter 2, bringing Eleven and Dustin Henderson to Behaviour Interactive’s cooperative multiplayer survival horror game alongside Vecna, the series’ iconic villain, as a new Killer. The update is available now via Dead by Daylight’s Steam public test build and will officially launch on January 27.

Eleven and Dustin join the existing Stranger Things Survivors Nancy Wheeler and Steve Harrington, while Demogorgon remains the Killer from the original 2019 collaboration. The chapter also introduces Legendary outfits for Dustin as Eddie Munson and for Nancy as Robin Buckley. The action unfolds on Hawkins National Laboratory, a location steeped in the show’s lore and perfectly suited to the tense puzzle-and-hide mechanics the game uses to chase or be chased.

Behaviour Interactive did not publish full specifics on the new Survivors’ abilities in the press materials, but the release centers Vecna, The First, as a high-precision threat whose dark powers bend the world around him. Vecna can manifest the Upside Down within The Fog, weaponizing its presence to harass and trap Survivors. Sinister vines lash out, and Vecna can disappear underground and reemerge to curse anyone in his path. Across the Hawkins Laboratory map, the chimes of grandfather clocks are a recurring motif that may signal danger and, some players hope, offer a narrow window to scramble to safety.

Stranger Things concluded its fifth and final season on Netflix, delivering a cathartic finale after nearly a decade. Even as the series ends, Netflix and its creators remain involved with Stranger Things projects, including an animated series and a live‑action spinoff in development with the Duffer brothers heavily involved. The collaboration between Netflix and Dead by Daylight continues to fuse the show’s atmosphere with the game’s asymmetrical multiplayer design.

With Chapter 2, the crossover extends its footprint by adding two more Survivors and a new Killer, plus Legendary outfits that reframe familiar faces for players who want to lean into nostalgia. The update emphasizes the ongoing relationship between Behaviour Interactive and Netflix, and it arrives as fans await the January 27 global launch, after the Steam public test build has run its course.
