Street Fighter Movie Popcorn Bucket Arrives in Guile's Iconic Hair

AMC Theaters has unveiled its exclusive popcorn bucket for the upcoming Street Fighter movie, offering a wearable item shaped like Guile's signature flat-top hairstyle. The bucket is described as "ergonomic and aerodynamic" by Street Fighter actor Cody Rhodes, who portrays Guile in the film. Rhodes appeared in an announcement video wearing the popcorn bucket, alongside co-stars Noah Centineo as Ken Masters and Callina Liang as Chun-Li.

This unique collectible follows a trend of elaborate and viral marketing popcorn buckets from various film releases. The phenomenon was notably amplified by the sandworm bucket for Dune: Part Two, leading actor Ryan Reynolds to dub 2024 the year of the "War of the Popcorn Buckets" with the unveiling of the Deadpool & Wolverine bucket. Other notable examples this year include Regal Theatres' Garfield bucket, where patrons could eat popcorn from the back of the character's head, and a ghost trap-themed container for Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire.

In previous years, AMC Theaters released a massive Galactus-themed popcorn vessel for The Fantastic Four: First Steps. More recently, the cinema chain offered multiple popcorn bucket designs for Spider-Man: Brand New Day, and even had an IMAX camera-shaped bucket and a Trojan horse bucket for The Odyssey. Filmgoers can also currently find a Resident Evil popcorn bucket designed as an organ transplant bag, and the upcoming Avengers: Endgame Encore re-release will feature two Iron Man-themed popcorn bucket options.

The Street Fighter movie is scheduled to open in theaters on October 16.
