Apple TV+ is set to launch its August 2026 content slate with the highly anticipated return of "Ted Lasso." The critically acclaimed comedy, starring Jason Sudeikis, will premiere its fourth season on August 5. The new season sees Ted Lasso back in Richmond, taking on the coaching duties for a second division women's football team, with many familiar characters expected to return.

Beyond "Ted Lasso," the service will offer a variety of new and returning series. "Women in Blue" (Las Azules), a crime thriller inspired by real events set in the 1970s, will debut its second season on August 12. This season follows four Mexican women who, initially used by the police to distract from a serial killer, begin to investigate the case themselves.

Children and fans of animated series can look forward to the fifth season of "Stillwater," premiering August 21. Based on Jon J. Muth's book series, the show follows siblings learning life lessons from their neighbor, a panda named Stillwater.

August 21 also marks the arrival of "The Dynasty: UConn Huskies." This three-part documentary series chronicles 40 years of women's basketball history at the University of Connecticut, focusing on the tenure of head coach Geno Auriemma and the team's twelve national championships.

The sci-fi drama "Dark Matter" returns for its second season on August 28. The series, an adaptation of Blake Crouch's novel, continues the Dessen family's story as they grapple with the consequences of interdimensional travel.

In addition to these premieres, several ongoing series will continue their runs throughout August, including "Silo" season 3 and "Sugar" season 2. Most of the new and returning shows will release episodes weekly on Wednesdays and Fridays, with "Stillwater" and "The Dynasty: UConn Huskies" being notable exceptions for their release patterns later in the month.
