Team Asano has released a new update for their HD-2D action RPG, The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales, which addresses player feedback regarding the game's talkative fairy companion, Faie. The update, version 1.1.0, is available now on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and PC, and introduces an option to completely turn off Faie's voice.
The game, which launched last month, has been generally well-received, but many players found Faie's constant commentary to be a significant annoyance, drawing comparisons to Navi from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. While an option to reduce Faie's frequency of speech was available at launch, the new update provides a full mute function for the companion.
Beyond the highly requested Faie silencing feature, the 1.1.0 patch also includes adjustments to tutorial behavior. Additionally, the update resolves issues with FPS drops on some PC configurations that occurred when Faie was present, and addresses several minor bugs.
This update aims to enhance the player experience in The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales, a game that draws inspiration from Zelda-like adventures. The developer, Team Asano, is also known for their work on the Octopath Traveler series and Triangle Strategy.
