The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth has reached an all-time peak in concurrent Steam players, with nearly 131,000 players engaging with the game following a significant discount during the Steam Summer Sale. This figure more than doubles its previous record of 70,701 players, which was set in April 2021.
As recorded by SteamDB, the game has seen a 394.9 percent increase in players over the last 30 days. This surge has placed The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth among the top 10 most played games on Steam, surpassing recent titles like Path of Exile 2 and Slay the Spire 2, as well as the enduringly popular Dead by Daylight.
The current promotional offer, a 90 percent discount on the base game and its expansions, marks the lowest price point for The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth and its associated DLC on Valve's platform. The game is available as part of a complete bundle for £3.70.
Released over a decade ago, The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth has maintained a steady growth, bolstered by substantial expansions. The Afterbirth and Afterbirth+ DLCs were released in 2015 and 2017, respectively. In 2021, the community-driven Repentance DLC significantly expanded the game, and was intended to be the final content drop. However, a free update, Repentance+, was released in 2024, introducing online co-op functionality.
The Binding of Isaac: Repentance+ is also slated for a physical release on Nintendo Switch 2 in the third quarter of 2026.
Original creator Edmund McMillen's most recent game, Mewgenics, also saw a notable release earlier this year, with console ports anticipated.
