Vampiric horror RPG The Blood of Dawnwalker has achieved significant commercial success, selling over one million copies shortly after its release and garnering a "very positive" rating on Steam, alongside an 83% score from PC Gamer. In the wake of this strong debut, developer Rebel Wolves is already looking ahead to the future of the franchise.

Narrative director Jakub Szamałek confirmed via LinkedIn that the studio is actively planning the next installment. "We're not resting on our laurels," Szamałek stated, "but are already thinking about where to take the game from here." The immediate focus for the team is to expand its narrative department.

Rebel Wolves is seeking a lead writer to join the narrative team for "the next chapter in the Dawnwalker saga." The role requires exceptional writing skills, a proven history of excellence, and experience in team management. Responsibilities include crafting in-game documents and dialogue, collaborating with the narrative director and other team leads, and overseeing the entire writing team. Candidates must possess a minimum of six years of experience as a writer or narrative designer in the video game industry, with a demonstrated record of achievement.

The developer's swift progression towards a sequel is supported by the pedigree of its founding members. Rebel Wolves was established by veterans of CD Projekt, with Szamałek himself having served as principal writer on Cyberpunk 2077, Thronebreaker, and the standalone Gwent release, and holding writing credits on The Witcher 3 and its expansions. The studio has seen numerous former CD Projekt colleagues offer congratulations on the game's successful launch.
