The Blood of Dawnwalker offers players a secret ending that allows them to conclude the game shortly after its prologue, without engaging in any boss fights except for the initial one. This optional conclusion is accessible early in the game by reaching a specific location at nighttime.
To find this secret ending, players must navigate to a particular spot marked on the in-game map. Upon approaching the area, a broken bridge will be present. Players with the leveled-up 'shadowstep' ability can cross directly, while others will need to descend into a valley from the eastern edge, just west of the Coward's Path shrine. Caution is advised, as venturing too deep into the valley may result in encounters with wolves that could be at too high a level for early-game characters.
Using abilities like 'planeshift' and 'shadowstep' to ascend the rocky terrain will lead players to a path. Following this path will initiate snowfall, eventually guiding the player to an open gate. At this point, the character Coen faces the choice to proceed through the gate, effectively leaving Vale Sangora and completing the game without facing significant challenges. This choice results in the game's credits rolling, followed by a post-credits cutscene that was previously shown during The Game Awards 2025.
The post-credits scene depicts Coen in modern times, bleeding out on a chair. A delivery driver arrives, delivering a box that contains a blood bag. After consuming it to heal, Coen confronts a shadowy figure by the window. While the identity of this figure remains unknown, it suggests a continuation of the Dawnwalker saga. Developer Rebel Wolves has indicated that future installments will explore different time periods and cultures, mirroring how the Dawnwalker narrative may persist through different eras, much like the Abstergo and Templar presence in the Assassin's Creed series. The timing of a potential present-day setting in subsequent games is yet to be revealed.
