Ubisoft is preparing to announce a Nintendo Switch 2 version of its open-world racing game, The Crew Motorfest, according to a report from Dealabs user billbil_kun, who has a strong track record for accurate leaks. This upcoming release is said to include a physical edition distributed on a Game-Key Card.

The Crew Motorfest for the Switch 2 is reportedly slated for an October 8 release, with a price point of $49.99 in the US, £44.99 in the UK, and €44.99 in Europe. The use of a Game-Key Card for the physical version indicates a cost-saving measure, as these cards contain a download code rather than the full game on a cartridge, though they do provide a physical item for collectors.

By the time the game arrives on the Switch 2, it will be nearly three years old. The Crew Motorfest originally launched in September 2023 for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. The game, set in Hawaii, received generally positive reviews upon its debut. IGN's review at the time awarded it a 7/10, noting that it is a "robust racer with a confident sense of style, but its smaller map lacks life, its multiplayer isn't really worth the wait, and its omnipresent microtransaction opportunities are still tedious."

With no current information on a potential Forza Horizon 6 release for the Switch 2 or even a release date for the PS5 version of that title, this port could be well-timed for players on Nintendo's platform seeking an alternative to Mario Kart. Ubisoft is expected to officially confirm The Crew Motorfest's Nintendo Switch 2 edition in the near future, with further details anticipated to follow.
