The Elder Scrolls Online has launched its latest season, Season Two: Echoes of Skyrim, which brings players back to the familiar province with a significant expansion of free content. The season, running until January 27, 2027, now includes the Greymoor Chapter and the Wolfhunter DLC as part of the base game, removing the need for separate purchases.
This addition allows players to explore Western Skyrim, including the city of Solitude and the underground region of Blackreach. The Greymoor Chapter also adds its associated storyline, the Antiquities system, and the Kyne’s Aegis trial. The Markarth DLC, which concludes the Dark Heart of Skyrim narrative, is set to be integrated into the base game on November 9.
In addition to the Greymoor content, Season Two introduces solo-accessible versions of two dungeons: Moon Hunter Keep and March of Sacrifices. These Hircine-themed challenges will offer varying difficulty levels and unique rewards for players who prefer to tackle content alone. The original four-player iterations of these dungeons are also now available through the free Wolfhunter addition.
The season also features new reward tracks, including the Tamriel Tome with free and premium tiers containing items like the Maarselok Slayer Mammoth mount. The Gold Coast Bazaar has refreshed its offerings of returning rewards. Seasonal in-game events such as the Witches Festival, Whitestrake’s Mayhem, and the New Life Festival are also planned.
Further content updates are scheduled as the season progresses, including Golden Pursuits campaigns themed around Skyrim and the Nowhere Vault. Update 52, expected on January 19, will implement quality-of-life enhancements. These include increased furnishing limits for certain homes, expanded customization options for Companions, and a new minimap interface feature.
This season offers players a compelling reason to return to or explore Skyrim within The Elder Scrolls Online, providing access to substantial content without additional cost.
