The Elder Scrolls Tabletop Game Announces Elsweyr Expansion

Chip Theory Games has announced a new expansion for its cooperative tabletop game, The Elder Scrolls: Betrayal of the Second Era, which will allow players to explore the desert homeland of the Khajiit in Elsweyr. This marks the first time players can adventure in Elsweyr since its appearance in The Elder Scrolls Online in 2014.

The Elsweyr Expansion introduces new quests and enemies to the game. Two new playable classes, Thief and Berserker, will also be added. The expansion will include a new map, skill dice, enemy chips, encounter cards, and more.

This is the latest addition to The Elder Scrolls: Betrayal of the Second Era, which launched in 2025. The base game allows one to four players to take on the roles of guild agents completing quests, battling foes, and exploring dungeons across Tamriel. Players can customize their experience by spending experience points as they progress.

Also launching in November are two other expansions for the tabletop game: Fur and Fang, which adds mechanics for vampirism and lycanthropy, and Shadows of Oblivion, introducing interactions with Daedric princes. These new packs can be purchased individually or as a bundle, but all require the base game to play. The base game is currently listed at $224.95 but is out of stock.

Fans continue to await the next mainline installment in the video game series, The Elder Scrolls 6. Bethesda has confirmed the title remains the company's primary focus, though its release is expected to be at least two years away.
