The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Remake Adds Hall of Fallen Foes

Nintendo has revealed a new feature for the upcoming remake of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time: the Hall of Fallen Foes. This museum-like addition will showcase defeated monsters and allow players to replay boss battles.

The Switch 2 remake will include a gallery where statues of defeated monsters are displayed. Each statue will feature a placard with information about the creature. For major dungeon bosses, players will have the opportunity to engage in rematches within the Hall of Fallen Foes, with the example of King Dodongo being highlighted for players to practice and aim for faster completion times.

This new feature appears to be an evolution of the Boss Challenge mode found in the Nintendo 3DS remake of Ocarina of Time. The Hall of Fallen Foes expands on this by offering a bestiary-like experience for collectors and fans of the game's lore.

An overview video accompanying the announcement provides glimpses of familiar bosses like Gohma and Volvagia, as well as other key characters. The nearly five-minute video also offers a look at the updated visuals for the classic title.

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake is scheduled to launch on Nintendo Switch 2 on November 5.
