The upcoming remake of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time for the Switch 2 will include a new feature called the Hall of Fallen Foes, allowing players to revisit and re-challenge the game's bosses. This addition was revealed in the latest trailer for the remake, which otherwise showcases faithful recreations of classic locations and enemy encounters from the Nintendo 64 original.
The Hall of Fallen Foes functions as a museum where players can view statues of enemies they have defeated throughout their journey. Each statue provides descriptions of the monsters, potentially offering new insights into their behavior and role within the game world, and indicates where they can be found again. The primary draw of this new area, however, is the ability to re-fight all of the game's bosses. The feature will also track players' best times, encouraging attempts at personal bests against the formidable opponents.
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake is slated for release on Switch 2 on November 5. This title serves as a major release for the series' 40th anniversary. A live-action film adaptation, starring Benjamin Evan Ainsworth as Link and Bo Bragason as Zelda, is also planned for release next year, though a full trailer for the movie has yet to be shown.
