The upcoming remake of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time will feature voice acting for characters in in-game cutscenes, director Eiji Aonuma announced. This marks a significant addition to the classic title, bringing its character interactions closer to the style seen in more recent Zelda games like Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom. While Link himself will continue his tradition of being a silent protagonist, the non-player characters he encounters will now have spoken dialogue. Characters confirmed to have voice actors include Navi, Ganon, Saria, Darunia, Ruto, Impa, and Zelda, all of whom were heard in the accompanying trailer. The specific actors involved have not yet been officially revealed by Nintendo, but the trailer's depiction of Ganondorf suggests Matt Mercer may reprise his role as the character. The Ocarina of Time remake is scheduled to launch on November 5. This release date places it just weeks before the highly anticipated Grand Theft Auto 6, a title that has prompted other games to adjust their schedules to avoid direct competition. Nintendo is also expected to host another Nintendo Direct presentation on September 9, potentially bringing further news for fans of the company's franchises.
