Nintendo is releasing a new amiibo figure for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom this September, depicting the Mineru's Construct. The figure is set to launch on September 17, arriving more than three years after the game's initial release.
This new amiibo represents the ancient Zonai robot that is rebuilt and commanded by Link in the latter half of the game's story. A key feature highlighted by Nintendo is the figure's fully articulated arms, allowing for various poses. "There's a fair bit of freedom to its movement too, so try making it pose in a way that looks good to you," the company suggests.
As with other amiibo, tapping the Mineru's Construct figure to a Nintendo Switch's NFC reader will grant players in-game bonuses. These rewards may include a special paraglider fabric featuring a Mineru's Construct theme, complete with glow-in-the-dark elements. The timing of this amiibo's release is notable, as its existence could be considered a late-game spoiler for players still experiencing Tears of the Kingdom.
This release follows other recent Zelda franchise news, including the upcoming remake of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time and the announcement of a live-action movie adaptation slated for 2027.
