The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power is set to receive physical media releases for its first two seasons in November, offering fans a chance to own a piece of Middle-earth.

Amazon MGM Studios and Alliance Home Entertainment have announced that both season one and season two will be available on DVD, Blu-ray, and 4K Ultra HD formats starting November 3. These standard editions will include behind-the-scenes bonus content. For collectors, Amazon-exclusive 4K Ultra HD gift sets featuring Steelbook packaging and collectible art cards are slated for release on December 1.

These physical releases coincide with the upcoming debut of the series' third season on Prime Video. The third season is scheduled to premiere on November 11, with subsequent episodes rolling out through November 25.

The Rings of Power, which premiered on Prime Video in September 2022, has become one of the streaming service's most-watched shows, with over 185 million viewers globally to date. Season two began airing in August 2024.

Season three is expected to delve deeper into the war against Sauron, with the Dark Lord actively recruiting followers who will eventually become the Nazgûl. The series will also explore the creation of the One Ring, a key element of Tolkien mythology yet to be depicted. A significant storyline will focus on Elrond and his twin brother, Elros. Actor Robert Aramayo, who portrays Elrond, will also play Elros in a flashback sequence depicting their divergent paths: Elrond's choice of immortality versus Elros's embrace of mortality, leading to his founding of Númenor. Elrond's journey to Númenor in the present day of the series will also be a focal point, where he confronts the kingdom built by his mortal brother. The show will also introduce Rivendell into its narrative, expanding the depiction of Tolkien's world.
