AMC's adaptation of Anne Rice's Interview With a Vampire, now titled The Vampire Lestat, is set to receive a collector's edition Blu-ray release. This special edition, subtitled "The Beautiful Unwell," will offer fans a premium package.
The limited edition Blu-ray box set includes all eight episodes of the current season, along with bonus features and exclusive merchandise. Among the included items are an "Official Beautiful Unwell Membership Card" made of metal with a unique member number, an exclusive soundtrack CD featuring 11 songs from the show, and a Blu-ray disc with exclusive artwork. The set is designed as a collectible for dedicated fans, named after Lestat's term for his followers.
Beyond the collector's edition, standard Blu-ray and DVD versions of The Vampire Lestat will also be available. These standard editions, priced at $24.99 for Blu-ray and $19.99 for DVD, will include the same bonus features as the limited edition.
The bonus features for all releases will include the "The Vampire Lestat After Dark" companion series, "Backstage Pass" behind-the-scenes featurettes, a segment on "Laying Down the Tracks," a panel from Comic-Con 2025, karaoke and lyric videos, and highlights from "The Vampire Lestat: One Night Only Live."
The standard DVD and Blu-ray releases are scheduled to begin shipping on November 3. The limited edition Blu-ray box set, however, will be available later, with a release date of December 15.
Looking ahead, the broader Interview with the Vampire series has been renewed for a fourth season, which will be titled "Queen of the Damned." Details regarding the premiere date for this upcoming season have not yet been announced.
