CD Projekt Red has released five tracks from the original soundtrack of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt's upcoming expansion, Songs of the Past. The EP, titled "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Songs of the Past (OST Gamescom 2026 EP)", is available now on all major streaming platforms.
Milan Records produced the five-track EP, which features music composed by Magda Urbańska, Marcin Przybyłowicz, and Daniel Elms. These pieces offer a preview of the musical direction for the new content, which is set to introduce the new region of Letten. Urbańska described the creative process as both exciting and a significant responsibility, aiming to capture the essence of the original game's iconic score while incorporating folk sensibilities.
"I've worked with classical music for most of my life, but folk requires a completely different sensibility — it has its own tone and form, while also offering enormous creative freedom," Urbańska stated in a press release. "But our roots, our Slavic heritage, are something more than that — something that runs deep within us, something that grows out of who we are. I hope we've managed to preserve The Witcher DNA in these pieces."
The soundtrack is characterized by a blend of orchestral writing and traditional folk influences, complemented by strong vocal performances and regional instrumentation inspired by diverse cultures. The EP includes the following tracks:

Songs of the Past was officially revealed during Gamescom's Opening Night Live. The expansion will introduce the previously unseen location of Letten, a new romance option for Geralt, and features a story that has been in development for years. The project reportedly came together through a series of fortunate circumstances.
