Eclipse Glow Games has announced that Angela Sant'Albano, known for her role in Resident Evil Requiem, will voice Gwendolyn in the upcoming action-RPG Tides of Annihilation. The confirmation arrived alongside a new trailer revealed during gamescom Opening Night Live 2026.
The trailer showcased Gwendolyn grappling with a post-apocalyptic London and receiving guidance from Guinevere to wield the power of the Fog, a force previously associated with King Arthur, to combat threats to both London and Avalon. The trailer also debuted the spectral knight Sir Lancelot, summoned by Gwendolyn to aid in combat.
Sant'Albano, whose other credits include The Nevers and Disney's live-action Dumbo, portrayed Grace Ashcroft in Resident Evil Requiem. Her performance in that game is noted for making Grace a memorable character within the series.
"I am beyond thrilled—and deeply honored—to officially announce that I’m stepping into the role of Gwendolyn in Tides of Annihilation," Sant'Albano stated. "Gwen is the kind of heroine I love. She carries self-doubt, constantly questioning whether she's enough, but she refuses to let fear make her stand still. Everything she does is driven by love for her sister and her homeland, and I think that's what makes her strength feel so human. Getting to step into her boots, facing otherworldly demigods, and commanding Knights of the Round Table has been an absolute privilege."
Sant'Albano's casting follows the departure of the previous voice actress for Gwendolyn, Jennifer English, who stepped away from the role due to health concerns. Rumors about Sant'Albano taking over had circulated among fans, particularly after some observed changes in character models.
Eclipse Glow also confirmed that Tides of Annihilation will launch with support for 11 languages, including Brazilian Portuguese. Attendees at gamescom were given the opportunity to play a hands-on demo. The game is slated for release on PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S, though a specific release date has not yet been announced. IGN previewed the game last week, praising its combat while suggesting improvements to movement mechanics.
