Actor Tom Holland, known for his roles as Spider-Man and Nathan Drake, has shared his current favorite video game and explained why he finds Fortnite unplayable. During an appearance on the Happy Sad Confused podcast, Holland identified Naughty Dog's "The Last of Us: Part II" as his top pick.

Holland stated that he does not play video games frequently but holds "The Last of Us: Part II" in very high regard, which has prevented him from watching the HBO adaptation of the same name. He expressed a desire to avoid potential disappointment, noting, "Because I love the game so much. I don't play video games all that much. And the game is just so good."

While the HBO series is adapting "The Last of Us: Part II" for its upcoming seasons, it has taken liberties with the source material. Holland's sentiment is shared by others who have expressed reservations about viewing the show after experiencing the game.

Separately, when asked about playing as his Uncharted or Spider-Man skins in Fortnite, Holland admitted to being "so bad at Fortnite that I cannot play it." He cited the game's challenging nature, particularly against players skilled in building mechanics, as a significant deterrent. "When you play those people who start building stuff? I don't know what to do. I don't know how to do that," Holland explained. Although Fortnite offers a Zero Build mode, he suggested that this mode also presents its own difficulties.

Holland is currently involved in major film projects, including roles in "The Odyssey" and "Spider-Man: Brand New Day," both anticipated for 2026. His previous foray into video game adaptations, the "Uncharted" movie released in 2022, grossed over $400 million globally. Sony has several other video game adaptations in development, including films based on "Helldivers," "Horizon Zero Dawn," "Days Gone," "Bloodborne," "Ghost of Tsushima," and "Gravity Rush."
